Ace Scan

Dynamic QR codes + premium digital business cards.

Ace Scan screenshot

A live, multi-tenant SaaS by Agent Ace. Print one QR code on a card, truck, or window — it opens a designer digital business card people save in a tap. Re-point the destination anytime and the printed code still works, no reprinting. Custom-branded QR styling, six card themes, scan analytics, and Stripe billing — all self-serve.

The problem

A printed QR code is frozen the moment it goes to print — if your number, title, or company changes, every card, sticker, and vehicle wrap is dead. And most 'digital business card' tools look cheap, so professionals won't actually hand them out.

The approach

I built a Next.js SaaS where the printed code encodes a stable slug on our servers and the destination is an editable database row — change it anytime, the code never reprints. On top I built designer card themes (logo, brand colors, photo focal-point picker), custom QR styling with a center logo and PNG/SVG export, and privacy-respecting scan analytics (IPs are salted-and-hashed). Supabase Auth + row-level security keep every tenant's data isolated; Stripe Checkout and the Customer Portal run self-serve billing with plan-based code limits.

The outcome

A production SaaS at scan.getagentace.com with free and paid plans, live Stripe billing, and multi-tenant isolation — plus a native iOS/Android shell (Capacitor) that wraps the same account. Reprint-proof QR codes for anyone whose details change.

Highlights

  • Dynamic QR codes — edit the destination anytime; the printed code never changes
  • Six digital-card themes with logo, brand colors, and photo focal-point picker
  • Custom QR styling: center logo, dot/eye styles, PNG & SVG export
  • Privacy-first scan analytics — totals, 14-day trend, device breakdown (salted-hashed IPs)
  • Multi-tenant on Supabase Auth + row-level security; self-serve Stripe billing
  • Packaged as a native iOS/Android app (Capacitor) around the same live service
